OPEN READING ROOM
& MEDIA SPACE

The Open Reading Room is a space focused on artist books & ephemera, art books, and other cultural media that is accessible and free to the public during Gallery open hours. The space also incorporates sound and video installations as part of most exhibitions.

Ann Street Gallery is pleased to partner with Golden Hour Books to offer titles from the Gallery's Curated Reading Lists--books chosen by featured artists and cultural workers to inform and lend context to their work and the Gallery's exhibitions. Titles can be purchased in-person at 181 Broadway, Newburgh while supplies last, or ordered through Golden Hour’s online store.

EMERGING ARTIST FELLOWSHIP

Ann Street Gallery’s Emerging Artist Fellowship supports local emerging artists, with a focus on those identifying as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC). During the fellowship, artists are provided professional development opportunities for mentorship and networking, a materials & supplies allowance to further their practice, and representation in the gallery during Newburgh Open Studios.

1x1x1

1x1x1 is ann street gallery’s series featuring one artist, one work, for one month in the Gallery window. 1x1x1 aims to be a nimble platform giving artists experimental space for solo exhibitions.
